Let us help you get a whiter smile in just one visit.

You are preparing for a big job interview happening next week and you’re trying to get all your ducks in a row so that everything goes smoothly. You’ve printed out your resume, you’ve done a bunch of research on the company. You’ve even bought the perfect “power” suit; however, the moment you look in the mirror and smile you notice that your smile is lacking in the radiance department. You want a smile that will wow your potential employers and our Katonah, NY, dentists Dr. Enyoung Park and Dr. Terry Lin can help, just in the nick of time.

  • Do you want to remove dental stains quickly?
  • Do you want to see results instantly?
  • Do you want to save yourself time?
  • Do you have an important event coming up and want a whiter smile?
  • Are you dealing with yellowing or external stains caused by aging or diet?
  • Are you okay with sitting in the dental chair for up to one hour?

If you said yes to these questions then in-office whitening could be the best approach for you. If getting results right away is what you are looking for then you may want to talk to our Katonah, NY, cosmetic dentists about how chairside teeth whitening could give you the instant results you’re looking for.

How does chairside teeth whitening work?

Professional whitening gel works the same way as those at-home whitening gel systems, the major difference is that the concentration of hydrogen peroxide is far higher in our professional whitening gel than you’ll ever find with whitening kits. As a result, you don’t have to leave professional whitening gel on teeth very long for it to penetrate the dentin layers of the tooth to break up stains and lighten the color of your teeth.

Professional chairside whitening often involves three whitening gel applications, in which we apply the gel and then leave the gel on teeth for up to 15 minutes each time before rinsing and reapplying. After your treatment, we will pull out a shade guide to show you how much whiter we were able to get your smile with just one session alone. You’ll be amazed!

Want a whiter smile fast before an upcoming job interview or special occasion? With professional teeth whitening, our Katonah, NY, dental team has you covered. To schedule a consultation, call ParkLin Dental at (914) 232-8182 today.

You've noticed that your teeth aren't exactly pearly white, and you want to improve your appearance. After all, you don't feel like smiling when you're not confident about your smile. Fortunately, if you live in Katonah you can receive teeth whitening services at your dentist. Dr. Enyoung Park and Dr. Terry Lin offer teeth whitening as well as other dental services. Keep reading to learn how teeth whitening can brighten your smile.

Teeth Whitening at the Dentist

Getting your teeth whitened at the dentist's office is the best way to whiten your smile. Most grocery and drug stores offer at-home teeth whitening kits, but results will vary. Stores offer whitening toothpaste, whitening strips, and other over-the-counter bleaching methods. These methods don't work as well as professional teeth whitening. Your best bet is to go to your dentist in Katonah for teeth whitening services.

Professional teeth whitening is fast and effective. It also lasts longer than in-home teeth whitening. Dr. Enyoung Park and Dr. Terry Lin can provide more information about why professional treatments are better than at-home kits.

Teeth Whitening Solutions

When you go to the dentist for teeth whitening, the dentist will use a special bleaching solution. He or she uses a solution containing hydrogen or carbamide peroxide. The dentist puts the solution into the mouth trays. The mouth trays fit snugly over your teeth. Sometimes the dentist uses a heat or light source to accelerate the bleaching process. When you get your teeth whitened at the dentist, it usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour. After the process, you end up with a brighter smile.

Coffee, tea, cola, and berries not only stain your clothes, but they also make your teeth look dull. Fortunately, teeth whitening offers a simple solution for smiles that aren't quite as bright anymore due to stains or the natural effects of aging. Here at ParkLin Dental in Katonah, NY, your dentists, Drs. Enyoung Park and Terry Lin, can help erase stains and whiten your entire smile—read on to learn how!

How whitening can help your smile

Dullness is unavoidable if you eat foods and beverages that contain dark pigments. When you sip your morning coffee or enjoy a handful of blueberries, tiny stain-causing pigments seep into microscopic openings in your tooth enamel.

After a while, these pigments can make your smile look dull, even if you brush your teeth twice a day and floss daily. In response, professional teeth whitening targets the source of the stains and eliminates them.

At our Katonah office, your dentists use a hydrogen peroxide whitening gel that naturally breaks apart these dark pigments. Hydrogen peroxide is a safe, natural bleaching solution that offers dramatic whitening results.

Whitening takes less time than you may think

The entire whitening process only takes about an hour at the dentist's office. After your gums and roots are covered with a protective gel, retractors will be placed in your mouth to keep the whitening gel from touching your cheeks.

It only takes a few minutes to apply the gel to your teeth, and it generally stays on there for around 30 minutes. Once the whitening gel is removed, your teeth will be noticeably brighter. In fact, most people notice a three-to-eight shade difference after whitening.

Making a few changes can prolong your results

Your teeth will stay whiter for two-to-three years after whitening, but you can extend your results by avoiding or limiting foods/beverages that stain teeth. If you can't face the day without your morning coffee or tea, drinking those beverages with a straw can help you avoid new stains.

Your dentist can also give you take-home whitening trays that make occasional touch-ups easy.
